V8SEAXE 4 is the latest version of V8 Search XE.

In principle, it would be possible to install V8 Search XE by yourself, but we do not recommend it, because you have to consider the complexity V8 Search XE. For such a special application V8 Search XE a briefing is mandatory. The V8 Search XE app is part of our V8 Performance solutions.Although you will of course receive the program package with a manual and online help, we believe that the basic knowledge and settings specific to your IT infrastructure (Dynamics NAV Server, SQL Server, Firewall, etc.) can only take place in an individual on-site installation.These V8 workshops are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical tuning and optimization techniques they need to optimize SQL Server in conjunction with Dynamics NAV / Business Central.

The client continues to perform performance analyses / optimization under its own direction and responsibility. The client receives additional support from our IT team and our performance analysis tool V8 Search XE. In this model, we take over a clearly outlined and defined task area from the client's IT for performance optimization for the SQL server and the client's Dynamics Business Central solution.

**V8 Virtual Machines include a minimal Windows operating system on which V8 Search XE is installed and configured. Hypervisor software such as VMware Player or VirtualBox is required to use the V8 Virtual Machine image. The pre-installed Windows version is an unenabled limited-use Windows version. Can be changed if desired.

**** Note: The C/AL Code Analyzer feature can only be used with a Dynamics NAV/BC Application Builder or Solution Developer license. A V8 Windows Service is required for each Dynamics Server Instance to be monitored in order to store Dynamics NAV Server events in the V8 database. The V8 services must be installed on the Windows computers of the Dynamics Server Instance to be monitored.

For example, if you have five Dynamics NAV servers (service tier) in your "live" environment that you want to monitor, you need 5 "V8 Service Licenses" and one V8 Search XE license (SQL Server). It is irrelevant whether these 5 instances are on a single physical machine or on three machines. The number of licenses also does not depend on the virtualization or the number of users.
